The outcome between both political ideologies of Capitalism and Communism including the Communist state of North Vietnam resulted in the never ending military threats of nuclear war. Particularly from the USA, but the main Communist Nations in the world. Such as, the USSR, China and a small nation on Americas doorstep, Cuba. North Vietnam never really made official threats of war per say, only the attacks by guerrilla forces (Viet Cong/VC) supported by North Vietnam. The gulf of Tonkin was the first official military at ion taken by North Vietnam. But America made it’s stance quite clear with the talk of halting the spread of Communism in South Vietnam and South East Asia. Which only really meant military intervention.
Primarily in the North of Vietnam, The USSR and China, there was massive propaganda war supported their political leaders, ideologies, people, military and opposing the West and Capitalist societies. In North Vietnam a huge political and propaganda war was created supporting the war effort and rallying determination to achieve victory over the American forces stationed in South Vietnam.
Because the American military intervention in South Vietnam wasn’t so popular, there wasn’t a whole lot of propaganda being produced. The only support that the war could muster was from new coverage and the desperate attempt by American leaders that the war in South Vietnam was just.
